Educator Career Continuum
When creating district educator support systems, consider each stage in the career progression (understanding that the progression is not always linear):
- What stages of the continuum need the most support in our district?
- How can we use another stage of the continuum to support this stage?
- What capacity building needs to happen to get us to the next step?
- What can we add to our improvement plan this year? Next? In two years?

Examples
Spencer County supports educators in deliberate ways across a six section continuum: 1. Educators Rising builds an educator pipeline at the high school level, 2. Student teachers in college preparatory programs, 3. Teacher Academy for teachers in the first three years of teaching, 4. Master Teacher Academy for National Board candidates, 5. Leadership Team for teacher leaders, and 6. District and School Leadership
